Partnered with Homeowner’s Catastrophe Insurance Trust, and offered through Trustco Inc., this program offers you the ability to sell the top home based Difference in Conditions insurance on the market. The program permits subscribing members to obtain affordable property protection against the losses associated with disasters such as earthquake, landslide and flood, which are not usually covered on homeowners policies.
HCIT has over forty years of experience underwriting earthquake landslide and flood business, and has the knowledge and professionalism to best serve you and your clients. HCIT coverage is placed through Lloyds, London, rated A (Excellent) by AM Best.
How to Apply
- Complete the Application** (Policies may only be submitted by an insurance agent.)
If insured’s mortgagee requires a 1% deductible, please use the following application & addendum:

Coverage
- The HCIT program offers blanket limit coverage for the dwelling, contents and other structures.
- No inspection of the premises is required.
- The program offers a limit of up to 1 million with a 5% deductible.
- Higher limits available upon request
- 10 day waiting period; can be waived to 5 for mortgage closing
- NFIP equivalent to lending institutions even though we know coverage to be better
- HCIT was established in 1975
